Mouth Watering Crawfish Pasta
This crawfish pasta can save your life after a long day! It’s super quick and a definite crowd pleaser! If you don’t have the time to pick up crawfish, use rotisserie chicken or shrimp.
Ingredients for Crawfish Pasta
- 1\2 stick of salted or unsalted butter
- 1\4 cup of flour
- 1 quart of heavy whipping cream
- 1-2 bundles of green onions
- 1 table spoon of garlic
- 1 pound of crawfish tails with fat
- 1 teaspoon of crawfish boil
- 1\4 cup of white wine
- Cajun seasoning of your choice
- Cooked rotini pasta
- 1 cup of shredded parmesan cheese
Directions for Crawfish Pasta
Step 1: Make roux
Melt butter in the pot that your cooking the meal in, add flour and whisk around until well blended on a medium heat for 4 mins. Remove roux from heat, keep stirring for 3 mins, this will cool the roux down so it wont splash when you add the cream.
Step 2: Add ingredients
Add heavy cream, green onions, garlic, crawfish tails and fat, white wine, and crawfish boil. Return to medium heat.
Step 3: Stir and season if needed
Continuously stir. When it begins to get bubbly season to taste and remember that you should have it seasoned more than you would normally would season something because the pasta will take away a considerable amount of flavor.
Step 4: Add pasta & cheese
Add pasta and cheese, serve and sit back and enjoy the compliments!
