Bananas Foster Over Ice Cream And Fried Cake

Bananas Foster Over Ice Cream And Fried Cake

If you’re looking for a good Southern dessert, bananas foster is the way to go. For this recipe, we serve it over a warm fried cake. If you are not a Banana fan, replace the Nanas with mixed berries and use a blackberry liqueur instead, or use pineapple with mango and use a Triple Sec. Also, let me pre-warn you that part of this recipe includes lighting the pan on fire! I will not be responsible for anybody kitchen burning down, so don’t say I didn’t give you a heads up. The video will explain it all, I was actually a little nervous myself but I add a wee bit too much rum while doing the video! Ingredients are below and watch the video for step by step directions.

Ingredients for Bananas Foster

  • 6 bananas chopped or quartered
  • 1 cup and half of dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup of banana liqueur
  • 1 cup of rum
  • Pound cake
  • 2 tbsps of butter and 3 tbsps of sugar
  • Ice cream of your choice
